AI for Trade and Logistics

One order touches quoting, purchasing, customs, dispatch and collection — each with its own document and its own contact. AI GO runs the whole chain on one dataset so lead times and margins are both calculable.

What you are probably dealing with

The same order typed five times

Quotation, purchase order, dispatch note, invoice and receipt each created separately, with descriptions and quantities copied between them. One wrong model number and the whole shipment is wrong.

Lead-time answers are guesses

A customer asks when it will arrive, so sales asks purchasing, purchasing asks the supplier, and someone checks sailing schedules. Two days later you have an answer.

Real margin cannot be calculated

The exchange rate at quoting, freight, duty and storage only become known afterwards. By the time settlement shows the order lost money, the next batch has already been accepted.

Routing depends on one veteran

Dozens of drops sequenced from experience. When that person leaves, nobody can do it — and fuel and hours were never measured in the first place.

Before and after

Before

  1. 1Quotation, purchasing, dispatch and invoice each created separately
  2. 2Lead-time answers require asking down the chain
  3. 3Costs compiled afterwards; margin known too late
  4. 4Delivery order sequenced by an experienced hand
  5. 5Logistics status checked in each carrier’s system

With AI GO

  1. 1One order runs from quote to collection without re-keying
  2. 2Every stage is queryable, so lead times are answered directly
  3. 3Costs accrue against the order; margin is visible now
  4. 4Addresses geocoded and sequenced into an optimal route
  5. 5Dispatch and logistics status synced in batches

Modules involved

Stock and trade management is the backbone; delivery and logistics modules follow the channels you actually use.

Operations

Platform capabilities

One order, end to end

Quotation, purchasing, dispatch, invoice and collection are stages of the same record rather than five systems each creating their own. Mistyped model numbers disappear at source.

Routes calculated automatically

Paste in delivery addresses and they are geocoded, then sequenced via the Google Directions API, with a built-in TSP fallback so a route is still produced if the external service is unavailable.

Costs accrue against the order

Freight, duty and storage — costs that arise late — attach back to the originating order, so margin does not wait for settlement.

Works with your carriers and invoicing

Logistics modules such as 7-ELEVEN parcel handling process dispatch and status in bulk, and invoicing has matching modules — no need to change existing partners to suit the system.

FAQ

We have a lot of exceptions. Can the system cope?
Exceptions are normal in trade — changed specifications, split shipments, partial returns. The goal is not to eliminate them but to keep them inside the system rather than pushing them back to Excel. AI GO generates to your actual process, so exception paths are built in rather than left as "handle it yourself outside the standard flow".
Can exchange rates and duty be applied automatically?
Exchange rates can be updated from an external source. Duty involves tariff classification, so we recommend configurable rules with human confirmation rather than full automation. Where declaration liability is involved, the system should assist the calculation, not replace the judgement.
Is automated routing really better than an experienced planner?
With many stops and many time windows, usually yes, because it works from real road distance and time. But local knowledge — that a particular lane jams in the afternoon — still has value. In practice the system sequences first and an experienced planner adjusts; the two complement each other.
How long does adoption take?
For backbone systems like stock and trade management we recommend a longer parallel period, validated against your own historical documents. The templates work out of the box; customisation and data migration are led by a Forward Deployed Engineer, usually in weeks.
