AI for Manufacturing

The machines are talking, but nobody is listening. AI GO connects OPC-UA, IoT sensors and MES work orders into one system, turning utilisation, yield and inventory into numbers you can read and act on — not a report assembled at month-end.

What you are probably dealing with

Line data stays inside the machine

The equipment supports OPC-UA but nobody ever pulled it out. Utilisation is copied down by the supervisor and quality checks are on paper; by the time it reaches Excel it is the next day and the incident is long over.

Work-order progress travels by shouting

Sales asks about a delivery date, calls the plant, and the plant walks out to read the board. Where an order sits and which machine is holding it is not visible anywhere.

Stock and production keep separate books

The stock system records warehouse numbers while the line issues materials on its own dockets. Either the books show stock that is not there, or dead inventory piles up to write-off — and every month is spent reconciling.

MES quotes are frightening

Traditional MES starts in the millions and takes six months, and the fields encode someone else’s way of working. Small and mid-sized plants finish the evaluation and go back to Excel.

Before and after

Before

  1. 1Supervisors transcribe machine output every two hours
  2. 2Quality results written on paper and keyed in that evening
  3. 3Work-order progress chased via the floor whiteboard and phone
  4. 4Material issues and stock control entered separately
  5. 5Utilisation and yield reports compiled by hand at month-end

With AI GO

  1. 1OPC-UA and IoT gateways collect machine data automatically
  2. 2Yield and utilisation on a live board, with threshold alerts
  3. 3Work-order status visible plant-wide; delivery dates answerable
  4. 4Material issue deducts stock automatically; books match reality
  5. 5Reports available any time, not only after the close

Platform capabilities

Direct standard protocol connectivity

The OPC-UA industrial gateway module connects to line equipment directly — no need to replace machines or buy separate middleware just to get a system in.

Floor data made visible immediately

The ThingsBoard IoT monitoring centre and industrial IoT equipment monitoring modules turn sensor readings into boards, trends and threshold alerts.

Generated to your methods, not a package’s

Every plant has its own routing, reporting and costing logic. AI GO generates to your actual process, so you do not change the process to fit the software.

Production and inventory share one dataset

Manufacturing management and stock control run on the same platform, where issuing, receipt and dispatch are states of one record — ending the two-sided reconciliation.

FAQ

Our machines are old. Can they still be connected?
It depends what they support. Equipment with OPC-UA connects directly through the industrial gateway module. Older machines are usually instrumented externally — current, counting, temperature and humidity sensors on an IoT path — which still yields utilisation and output. We inventory your equipment before recommending an approach.
How is this different from a traditional MES?
A traditional MES sells you someone else’s process and quotes customisation separately, in months. AI GO starts by asking how you work and generates to that — and because MES, IoT monitoring and stock control run on one platform sharing data, you are not paying again for systems integration.
Do we have to replace our existing stock system first?
Not necessarily. You can adopt the production side only — protocol connectivity, IoT monitoring and manufacturing management — and connect the existing stock system by API or webhook. Once it proves itself, decide whether to bring stock in. Segment-by-segment adoption is common.
Could production data leak?
Access control and audit are platform capabilities: who can view which line, who can change a work order and who exported what are all recorded. Deployment shape can also be discussed against your security requirements — there is no single mandated model.
